POSITION TITLE: Sales Manager – Turbo Gears

LOCATION: Houston, TX
SUMMARY: Sales Manager – Turbo Gears Service Sales & New Business has the primary customer interface responsibilities for promoting Turbo Gear (high-speed gearboxes and couplings) product line in USA.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains new as well as existing customers (End-users, OEM’s, Consultants & Distributor) accounts.
- Analyze customers’ technical specifications for drive components in industrial drive applications.
- Make initial product selections which meet the customer drive specifications using selection and pricing tools for our high-speed gearbox products.
- Communicate with internal application engineering team and global product sales support team as required to confirm selections, generate pricing & quotes (price indication quotes as well as detailed firm quotes)
- Provide engineering assistance, technical and product presentations. Establish and review on an annual basis agreed targets for the product line.
- Provide sales and marketing information as required; develop business plans, sales strategies and forecasts.
- Support the global Growth plan for Turbo Gear with both our new business and service of our current install base for Turbo Gears.
- Participate at industry trade shows and coordinate marketing activities
- Maintains all sales activities and customer relationship management through Salesforce CRM program.
- Support marketing companies when projects are of an international scope with either end-user accounts, OEM accounts, or engineering/consulting accounts are based in the USA.
- Domestic travel required, ~ 30-40 % of the time. Primary travel in the USA, Canada, Mexico and occasionally to Germany as required.
- Work with both our new equipment and After-Market Business groups for replacements and retrofit opportunities.
- Preparedness to work the occasional weekend as the job function requires, for instance exhibition attendance or customer emergency support.
- Special projects assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical science from four-year accredited college or university preferred.
- 5 years of relevant Application Engineering and/or Sales experience in the Power Transmission Industry.
- Experience in sales of high dollar value capital equipment or components (e.g. in gearboxes, couplings, bearings and other rotating machinery drive train components).
- Demonstrate effective communication & collaboration teamwork skills
- Good interpersonal skills: ability to build and maintain successful working relationships within the company, with the group team, and with customers.
- Ability to multi-task based on business needs.
- Excellent time management skills and good written communication skills required.
- Ability to work from home and/or office (good internet & cell phone service) required
