Safety Manager – Bilingual

POSITION TITLE: Safety Manager – Bilingual

COMPENSATION: Competitive Pay + bonus

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA

SUMMARY: This position will set safety standards for all company operations, assure compliance with all state and federal safety regulations, conduct regular safety orientation with all new employees and interact with all current employees through their department managers to assure safety awareness and compliance with all current regulations. This position will also inform employees and management regarding new regulations and procedures when they are developed or mandated.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Construction Site Safety Inspections
• Jobsite Safety Preplanning
• Job Hazard Analysis
• Conducting Safety Training for all Employees
• Scheduling Pre-employment and Annual Physicals
• Handle all Documentation for Accident Investigations
• Confined Space Equipment Maintenance
• Participate in Safety Committee Meetings
• Vehicle inspections
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimal Overnight Travel
• Onsite 30% of the time.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years of management experience 
• Must be bilingual.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or 5-10 Years of safety experience within the industrial construction industry.
• Certification in CSP.
• Working knowledge and experience of OSHA rules and regulations
• Working knowledge and experience of DOT rules and regulations
• Working knowledge and experience of MSHA rules and regulations
