POSITION TITLE: QC/QA Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + bonus

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

SUMMARY: Our client is seeking a Corporate QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control functions across all projects and operations. The successful candidate will have experience in the industrial maintenance and construction industry and possess strong leadership skills.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures that comply with industry standards, client requirements, and company policies.
  • Develop and execute quality control plans and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and areas of non-conformance.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality issues, including interpreting requirements, identifying nonconformities, and developing corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits of project documentation, work processes, and quality systems to ensure compliance with requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, to ensure that quality requirements are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on quality management, quality control, and quality assurance to all levels of the organization.
  • Manage the company’s corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) program, including identifying root causes, developing corrective and preventive actions, and tracking effectiveness.
  • Lead the company’s internal and external quality management system certification and recertification efforts.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance and construction, with at least 5 years in a quality management role.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to quality management, such as ISO 9001, API Q1, and ASME.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing quality management systems and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Frequent travel to client sites, supplier locations, and company offices as necessary for project oversight and collaboration.
  • Potential overnight stays during projects that require extended on-site presence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience leading internal and external audits and managing corrective action and preventive action programs.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to deliver effective training programs to all levels of the organization.
