Jr Technical Laboratory Analyst

POSITION: JrTechnical Laboratory Analyst

COMPENSATION:   Competitive salary + DOE

LOCATION:   Houston, Texas

SUMMARY: Provides analytical and interpretive lab support for process fouling, product development and quality assurance.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and regularly work with lab procedures, equipment, and maintenance
• Suggest, research and evaluate new equipment/instruments as required
• Manage, organize and optimize sample receiving, evaluation, and storage
• Manage chain of custody and communicate with third party laboratories
• Maintain Lab Supplies and Lab Housekeeping
• Develop interpretive algorithms and reports to assist the technical team in evaluation
• Work with technical team to develop new tests for improved QC
• Manage, execute and communicate on quality control methods and results
• Cultivate safety and operate with responsible environmental care
• Occasional communication with customers/vendors regarding laboratory procedures

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years of lab experience
• BS Engineering or Natural Sciences preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers and MS Windows and MS Office applications.
• Prior laboratory experience should be highlighted
• Additional desired skills include strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and programming
