POSITION:  Field Supervisor

COMPENSATION:   Competitive salary + DOE

LOCATION:   Deer Park, Texas

SUMMARY:   Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the on-site installation, maintenance, and dismantling of large industrial tent structures, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhering to safety regulations, while managing a team of field technicians and coordinating with clients and project managers at the job site.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the installation and dismantling at various locations.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements
  • Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues proactively
  • Supervise a crew of field technicians, including assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities and providing on-site training
  • Motivate and manage team performance to achieve project goals
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any safety concerns
  • Coordinate with clients and project managers to understand their needs and address any concerns
  • Inspect job sites to assess conditions and identify potential challenge
  • Ensure proper equipment setup, including rigging, anchoring and structural components
  • Oversee the loading, unloading, and transportation of tent materials and equipment
  • Enforce all safety protocols and procedures on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards immediately.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of tent structures, including components, installation methods and structural integrity.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and maintenance
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for tent installation
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs and inspection records
  • Submit accurate time sheets and expense reports
  • Coordinate with the office regarding equipment needs, scheduling and customer communication


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience in the installation and maintenance of large industrial tent structures; secondarily a parallel industry such as scaffold building
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to tent installations
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project managers and team members
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
