Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (applicable to change)

Description
The facilities maintenance technician is responsible for helping to keep the production facility in good working condition. While under the supervision of the R&D/Machine Technician Lead, the facility maintenance technician will help to identify potential hazards, offer solutions, and make repairs to both the workspace and the machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a daily routine for facility maintenance
  • Air Compressor start up and shut down (as a backup for CNC Operator)
  • Beginning of day facility check
  • End-of-day facility check
  • Routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility
  • Daily Tumbler room maintenance
  • Daily Compression of cardboard via Compressor
  • Daily carboard & Waste disposal
  • Organization and inventory of tools and storage
  • Coordinate intra-office moves
  • Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  • Maintain good standing with punctuality, attendance, and timesheet responsibilities
  • Back-up duties: Start-up and shut down of air compressor and dust collection system
  • All employees should be aware that from time to time the necessity may arise where they may be asked to assist where needed should priorities change

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or similar occupation
  • High school diploma or associate degree
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
  • OSHA certification is a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Effectively investigate and solve problems
  • Proactive and independent thinker, able to take initiative and work efficiently with little direction
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to Operate warehouse machinery

Work Environment

  • The physical demands that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include frequent standing, walking, and using hands.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
