Driver and Fabrication & Installation Support Assistant (at New Project)

Full-time: $18-25/hr (commensurate to experience from entry-level to experienced)

Summary of Position
This person is responsible for supporting our team and assisting in the delivery process.

Attributes

• Skilled driver. Comfortable driving a 24′ truck in the city.
• Ability to lift 60-80 lbs
• Punctual
• Self directed
• Computer literate
• Lifting up to 60 pounds
• Proficient in art handling protocols and packing
• Familiar with basic fabrication tools, techniques, and hardware
• Experienced in loading/unloading trucks containing fragile objects

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an organized a safe work environment
• Trash management/General shop tidiness
• Maintain company vehicles
• Assist shop manager in vehicles and facilities maintenance
• Assist on installs and basic fabrication in the shop when needed
• Primary driver for deliveries, materials procurement, and installs
• Knowledge and use of common hand tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks, ratchet straps, lift gates, box trucks, etc.
• Following verbal and written instruction
• Reading and working from digital and printed forms
• Asking for instruction if encountering a new tool, piece of equipment, or process
• Lifting up to 60 pounds
• Verifying counts and pieces in order to ensure items in transit are properly tracked
• Safe operation of vehicles demonstrated by a clean driving record
• Must be able to work during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, and during nights or weekends on a project basis
