POSITION:  Corporate Contracts Manager

COMPENSATIONCompetitive salary + DOE

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA

SUMMARY: Facilitate and lead contract negotiations, assess and protect Company risk, and lead a team responsible for managing commercial activities.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee the contracts and commercial department, ensuring efficient and effective contract management processes for industrial projects.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to foster positive partnerships.
  • Collaborate with legal to develop, negotiate, and finalize subcontracts and vendor terms and conditions.
  • Communicate with project managers, accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Implement and enhance contract administration policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead a team of contract professionals by fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment to lead the review process of contract terms, labor/equipment rates, and identifying potential issues.
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and legal requirements impacting contracts and make recommendations for adaptation.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree strongly preferred, MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in contracts management.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance, capital projects and turnarounds
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically based on knowledge of client’s business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong personal initiative and drive for results, with proven program execution skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Personal qualities required include the company’s core values, self-confidence and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)
