POSITION TITLE: Chief Operating Officer – Industrial Services

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + bonus

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees/directs operation management with responsibility for multiple customers/accounts within the business unit, including P&L responsibility as well as business development responsibility.
  • Implements and oversees the successful implementation of short- and longer-range plans and programs that meet business unit /operations goals and objectives (e.g. growth objectives).
  • Plays a key role in the business unit’s business development initiatives, including creating and maintaining relationships with key decision makers within current and/or targeted customers. 
  • Build and maintain business relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, and customers. 
  • Take ownership for the daily execution of business operations and serve as the accountable point of contact for business development, operations billing, financial modeling, staffing strategy development, and relationship building with internal and external partners/customers. 
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness. 
  • Prepare operating forecast/budgets and analyze reports and monitor profitability.  
  • Propose, devise and develop continuous improvement initiatives to benefit both the customer and company. 
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to the President regarding the operating structure and actions/processes necessary to effectively manage the organization’s current and projected activities.
  • Develops and installs procedures and actions to promote communication and adequate information flow within and among regional projects and projects managers 
  • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined, understood, and executed.  
  • Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with
  • Company policy and controls and local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. 


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of increasing management responsibility in an industrial construction or mechanical services, with the last 4-5 years being in a senior operations position.
  • Experience and knowledge in turnaround, maintenance, and small capital projects. Extensive Industrial cleaning and mechanical services experience are required.
  • 5+ years sales and sales management experience
  • P&L experience more than $20M
  • Extensive experience in supervising, coaching, and developing direct reports.
  • Experienced in developing, implementing, and managing systems and processes with a focus on quality and customer service excellence. 
  • Ability to build effective business relationships. 
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills combined with strong business acumen to engage customers and to communicate complex ideas clearly, simply, and convincingly. 
  • Strong process orientation and organizational skills a must.
