POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary DOE + bonus

BENEFITS: Standard Package

LOCATION: Houston, TX

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contacts.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability both short and long term.
  • Develops personal action plan to penetrate new markets.
  • Maintains key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Securestrategicagreements with prioritytargetclients and maintain detailed client records and account plans for key accounts.
  • Conducts research to provide business and market insight that will drive business direction and decisions.
  • Research and reports on industry, competitor, and client data.
  • Develops presentations for target customers and facilitates the process to understand the key value-proposition points.
  • Collaborates with other departments as appropriate to develop strategic perspective on new markets or technologies.
  • Assists with preparation of management reports.
  • Observes and complies with all safety rules.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years sales experience selling to the refining and petrochemical industries.
  • Soft crafts services’ experience is a must.
  • Maintains a strong base of customer relationships in the region.
  • Experience selling at a corporate / national accounts level a plus.
  • Driven, growth mindset, strategic, partner with operations.
  • Experience with contracts negotiation, management, and long-term service agreements.
  • Self-starter, strong interpersonal communication skills with all levels of colleagues, comfortable working with executive management.
  • Willingness to work both independently and as a team to meet quick deadlines and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
