COMPANY OVERVIEW:  Our client is a full-service provider of specialized services, access, shoring, and hoisting solutions to the industrial, commercial, and aircraft industries.

POSITION TITLE:   Business Development Manager

COMPENSATION:    Competitive salary DOE + bonus

LOCATION:  Austin, Texas

SUMMARY: Business Development is responsible for establishing new customer relationships and closing new project leads. Primary duties include identifying upcoming project job site opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing customers, collaborating with leadership on business strategy to determine objectives, and maximizing business reach and potential.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying new customers in agreed-upon target markets
  • Growing and maintaining existing customer relationships through consistent contact and constant job site cold calling
  • Increasing overall sale team performance through generation of new leads to develop new opportunities (e.g. identifying and contacting job sites, decision makers, participating in jobsite activities)
  • Collaborating with production teams (Design, Field, Ops, etc.) to ensure project and customer satisfaction
  • Serving as a field direct sales contact on business products, services, processes and overall production
  • Developing sales presentations tailored toward key customer needs (project related, solutions, etc.)
  • Provide solution/results orientated presentations to customers in office and on project sites


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience or a combination of education and experience in commercial construction sales. Scaffolding sales experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to create excellent working relationships with Superintendents up to Senior Management
  • Ability to effectively work within a matrix organization
  • Ability to cold call at job sites to find new job and bid opportunities
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Requires ability to conduct presentations in front customers.
  • Some travel required to meet customer and business needs within the D/FW area and surrounding Southwest Regions.
