COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is an Industrial equipment supplier
POSITION TITLE: Business Development
COMPENSATION: Competitive Base + DOE + Bonus
BENEFITS: Standard package
LOCATION: Houston, Texas
SUMMARY: Business Development will be responsible for calling on Engineering Firms & Contractors. The Business Development role with a focus on selling engineered products for capital projects worldwide.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service existing accounts as well as developing new business
- Develop strong working relationships with customers to ensure long-term, repeat business
- Develop and write detailed technical proposals
- Provide on-site training for clients regarding benefits and technical aspects of products and services offered
- Become competent in and apply technology specific to in-house manufactured products and those of the principals represented by the company with the driven initiative of driving growth in markets not currently served
- Ensure timely responses to any sales inquiry from customers
- Interface with and support client representatives/engineers, Inside Sales, Sales/Service personnel regarding product and service applications
- Coordinate with and provide detailed product pricing to Planner/Scheduler/Estimator staff on turnkey and service opportunities
- Assist in developing job packages and communicating necessary project related information with appropriate personnel
- Become a Product Champion for select products and services that will be featured by the company on a rotating basis
- Assist in the data collection requirements of equipment selection and the promotion of the company’s service, repair and maintenance capabilities via value proposition development
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of direct sales experience with EPC firms
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Engineering training helpful, but not required
- Work within the EPC sales team to develop business opportunities through cold calling, lunch & learn presentations, and general prospecting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- 10%+ travel possible in the Louisiana to Florida Panhandle Gulf Coast territory
- Candidate should be located in the Gulf Coast region, no relocation assistance
