LOCATION: Kemah, Texas

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for sales of BIC Magazine print and digital marketing services. Manage and develop potential business accounts through prospecting, cold calling, social media, networking, and referrals via face-to-face, written, virtual and phone communication.Increase sales by identifying/acquiring new business accounts, retaining, and expanding existing accounts for BIC Magazine, BIC Recruiting and IVS Investment Banking. 

ESSTIONAL JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSBILITIES:

BIC Magazine/Marketing Services – 75%  

  • Sell print and digital marketing campaigns including online advertising, content marketing, sponsored content, email marketing, website promotion, lead generation programs, and other digital offerings to new and existing business accounts.
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through various digital channels, including online research, social media engagement, industry forums, and networking events.
  • Understand our client’s business objectives and develop tailored digital marketing strategies to achieve their goals. Present proposals and recommendations that demonstrate the value and ROI of BIC Magazine’s digital marketing services.
  • Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional digital marketing services. Promote the use of value-added services such as press releases, guest columns, case studies, and lead generation programs.
  • Utilize BIC’s (CRM) to manage a sales funnel, document all client interaction and execute automated sales communication.
  • Attending tradeshows and conferences. Set up and dismantle booths, target new business opportunities, visit with and take photos of existing clients and distribute BIC materials.
  • Limited travel required (15%). 
  • Represent BIC Alliance at client events, BIC events, association meetings, etc. Take photos and submit content for BIC Magazine. 
  • Manage monthly client communication, including providing links/PDFs of client content, submitting analytics reports demonstrating campaign performance and ROI, and analyzing ad results.
  • Manage bonus distribution of BIC Magazine to client locations.

    BIC Recruiting – 20%

  • Acquire job orders through BIC members and non-members by phone, social media or face-to-face communication.
  • Secure candidate rรฉsumรฉs so BIC Recruiting can fill job orders.
  • Utilize BIC’s database and customer relations management system (CRM) to manage a recruiting sales funnel, document all client interactions, and execute automated sales communication.

    IVS Investment Banking – 5%

  • Develop and build relationships with industrial business owners interested in equity events including sell-side transactions, equity to growth, and financial consultation.
  • Acquire fee agreements from BIC members and non-members for representation.
  • Coordinate with IVS partners โ€” or others involved with a particular deal โ€” the sending of blind summaries, confidentiality agreements and deal books.
  • Utilize BIC’s database and customer relations management system (CRM) to manage an IVS opportunity funnel, document all client interactions, and execute automated sales communication.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of related sales experience, preferably in digital media, advertising, or marketing services. Experience selling to industrial service companies is a plus.
  • Sales for industrial service companies, newspapers, magazines, billboards, events, or digital media preferred.
  • Proven closer with outstanding sales ability as well as the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must have proposal development and negotiation skills.
  • Must be aggressive, creative, organized, deadline-oriented and resourceful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and CRM tools. Experience with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus, and knowledge of CRM tools and physical/virtual meeting experience.
  • Must be able to compose reports and write business correspondence coupled with computer literacy. Candidates must effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and decision-makers. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Ability to Travel 15%-time requirement.
