POSITION TITLE: Risk Management Analyst

SUMMARY: The Risk Management Claims Analyst is responsible for analyzing the administration and processing of insurance claims for the company. This position assists the Director, Risk Management with risk assessments, reporting and insurance carrier management

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages claims such as workers compensation, auto and property theft. Works directly with carriers and adjusters to manage all OCIP claims 
  • Work with legal department on reporting all EPLI claims 
  • Maintain company self-insured claims 
  • Manage mandatory Medicare Sect. III reporting requirements 
  • Set up and chair scheduled claim review meetings with TPA and carrier
  • Assist Risk Management Director with coverage questions, contract review and other problems 
  • Help transition new acquisitions into Brock insurance program 
  • Administer wrap-up reviews and enrollments; track costs and programs; develop annual wrap rates. 
  • Gather underwriting data and insurance marketing submissions for insurance policy renewals
  • Perform corporate insurance accounting
  • Monitor, track, and approve monthly invoice payments
  • Use data analysis to prepare risk management reports regarding trends
  • Manage surety program including processing bid, performance and payment bonds, Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, and facilitating overall corporate compliance
  • Review and evaluate insurance policies 
  • Make recommendations regarding adjusting and settling of claims. 
  • Conduct risk assessments involving analyzing risks while identifying and describing risks affecting the company 
  • Determine solutions for identified risks with appropriate risk control 
  • Analyze and report on loss trends with monthly reports and specific requests 
  • Develop timely analytical reports that include tables, graphs, figures, and written interpretation of findings 
  • Assist in administrating the RMIS for analyzing and reporting data to management 
  • Process certificates of Insurance and issue new and renewed Certificates of Insurance and auto liability cards


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years’ experience in insurance or handling workers compensation and/or auto claims 
  • 7+ years claims experience with progressive supervisory responsibility 
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance or related field 
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of management 
  • Strong relationship building skills and work ethic 
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills 
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to provide innovative solutions to problems 
  • Ability to contribute individually as well as part of a team 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills Education & Experience
