POSITION TITLE: Director of Sales

SUMMARY: The Director of Sales has direct sales responsibilities for selling complete service and solutions portfolio while managing a sales team. This position manages all aspects of the sales team, identifies and develops new opportunities. Responsible for optimizing profitable revenue growth, client engagement and satisfaction, pipeline development and forecasts management, budgeting, and expense management.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote, demonstrate, and instill culture in all aspects of the business
- Independently search for, identify, and develop leads through trusted sources and cold calling to secure sales and load volume to meet/exceed goals
- Negotiate with established and developing customers to secure profitable rates and ensure client satisfaction
- Maintain a strong understanding of the industry, including rates, services, equipment types, etc.
- Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day to maintain accuracy in sales and volume metrics
- Negotiate pricing programs with new clients to gain consistent revenue flow while protecting profitable margin
- Analyze business opportunities and develop and implement client pursuit strategies
- Research, develop and execute strategic plans for the business development and expansion of
- Strategic Accounts
- Perform sales meetings with customers and prospects on a frequent basis
- Provide support and recommendations for all Strategic Account pricing and bid procedures for current and potential customers
- Responsible for revenue generating activities such as client visits, marketing calls, routine attendance at networking events, and targeted usage of electronic marketing tools such as email, LinkedIn, and SalesForce
- Support operational teams in the development of accounts while maintaining strategic oversight
- Identify trends and competition in markets and advocate action to maximize opportunities and minimize risk
- Provide a positive customer service perception and reinforces a โValue Addedโ proposition to our customers
- Working conditions include outdoor and indoor fields, yard, and shop locations.
- Working indoors in an office environment
- Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary
- Frequent travel as required
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor‘s degree in business or related field required. Graduate Degree preferred
- 10+ years of sales/account management experience required
- Proven success in sales, account management and business expansion within the oil and gas industry
- 5 plus years of successfully managing a sales team
- Contacts in the refining/petrochemical
- Strategically targeting accounts that will impact on the area
- Involved in presentations and lunch and learns.
- Working knowledge of contract negotiation
