This position assists with overseeing the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating of all Skilled Nursing personnel providing direct resident care within the campus. The ideal candidate must have a current state licensure as a RN in good standing, must be able to work the clinical floor, have a shared vision with the team, focused on providing excellent clinical care and present a positive attitude each day that will help foster an environment focused on continued improvement to meet team members, residents and families’ needs and expectations. POSITION SUMMARY:

ADON implements standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis in the SNF units of the campus. This position oversees the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating of all Skilled Nursing personnel providing direct resident care within the campus. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

&#8226     Maintains residents’ charts to include all admission documents, care plans, records of care, and any other documents required by state regulatory agencies.

&#8226     Operates the SNF areas in compliance with all regulations from federal, state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and act as liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies.

&#8226     Implements the administration of resident medications, assesses response to medications and treatments and makes appropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity to be implemented.

&#8226     Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursing program.

&#8226     Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates corrective action as necessary.

  • Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

&#8226         This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.

&#8226         This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently. 

&#8226          The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.

&#8226         This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.

TRAVEL: No travel is expected although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

&#8226         Two or Four year college or university degree required.

&#8226         Current state licensure as a RN is required.

&#8226         Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position required.

&#8226         Five years of healthcare experience desired.

&#8226         Remain in good standing with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

&#8226         Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

&#8226         Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.

&#8226         Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.

&#8226         Ability to understand and follow directions as given.

&#8226         Ability to work with minimal supervision.
