Fabrication Shop Sales Executive

POSITION TITLE: Fabrication Shop Sales Executive

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary + DOE + Bonus

LOCATION:  Houston / Baton Rouge

SUMMARY:  The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new and diverse sales opportunities to expand the company’s customer base and maintain relationships with current customers.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with contacts at all levels of our customers’ organizations
  • Acts as a liaison between customer contacts and the estimating manager
  • Stays in tune with current market trends, including material prices, lead times, and industry standards
  • Explores opportunities to leverage GBPM’s competitive advantages to increase our market share
  • Contributes to the development of sales forecasts and market trend analysis
  • Tracks sales goals and creates reports to share with management
  • Collaborates regularly with the General Manager to review sales performance and identify target markets and industries
  • Develops innovative and non-traditional means to increase market share and profitability


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales with a proven track record
  • Experience in steel fabrication shop
  • Open to travel to client sites and attend industry events
  • Previously established network of contacts and relationships.
  • Experienced in performing to the most stringent requirements of ASME code and radiographic inspection for carbon steel, stainless steel.
  • Oil and Gas/Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field preferred not required.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, including negotiation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willing and able to travel as required.
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
