ABOUT THE JOB
The Geller House located in Staten Island, is a short-term residential center that provides rapid intervention, assessments, treatment services, education, social and recreational activities for at-risk adolescents ages 11-16 years old who are struggling with family related issues, including; long-term abuse, neglect, substance abuse and mental illness.
The Recreational Supervisor works with youth in the residential setting, developing programs to provide appropriate recreational activities for the youth, tailored to their clinical and socialization needs. The Recreational Supervisor is an integral part of the treatment team, providing feedback to the clinical staff regarding a client''s needs and abilities, while utilizing feedback for tailoring appropriate recreational programs/activities.
